Behavioral threat assessment (BTA) is essential. However, there’s the perception in some circles that BTA is designed to “turn them in.” The opposite is true; they’re made for understanding so we can “turn them around,” with appropriate support and protection.

Does it come with a Carhartt corporate vax mandate?…
Source: Grok—CEO Statement: In an internal email after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the federal OSHA vaccine-or-test mandate for large employers, Carhartt CEO Mark Valade reaffirmed the company’s policy: “The ruling does not change Carhartt’s mandatory vaccination program.” He emphasized workplace safety, stating an unvaccinated workforce was “a people and business risk that our company is unwilling to take.”
@elonmusk Humans don’t want to learn to drive well—so many have abdicated the responsibilities of driving. @elonmusk , I’m now convinced that FSD is wholly necessary, if for anything to reduce tailgating, distracted driving, and aggressive acts on roads. So, thank you, Elon!
“Not permitted.”—Citing privacy concerns, some school adminstrators have steered clear of behavioral threat assessments (BTA). However, today there’s serious legislation at the state level supporting wider use of BTA. Without question, privacy is important from both a human and legal point-of-view, but I argue that a well-designed BTA program actually builds trust and supports privacy. When BTA is managed well, the school’s commitment to safety and student welfare is on full display and substantive incidents and threats are addressed before they turn violent. Evidence of BTA effectiveness comes from the National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC), which shows that schools with BTA programs experience fewer violent incidents and better outcomes for at-risk students. #SBTA #behavioralthreat #schoolsafety #haystax
