@subq@ymmotrojam@JCBibleInsights The Creator created logic. The things of God are not illogical-they truly are a mystery to man. You are missing the essence of logic compared to the reality of a contradiction.
“Why hast thou made me thus” has nothing to do with logic but has to do with God’s sovereign plan.
@ymmotrojam@JCBibleInsights A paradox seems false but can be proven true through deeper investigation. A contradiction is false bc it violates the laws of logic. Calvinism is true like a straight circle is true. In other words, it is false because it defies the laws of logic, which God Himself established.

@needGod_net While this is true, the church fathers give us a better understanding of some scriptures that may be unclear to our modern understanding. I have found that many people write off the early believers because what they said and did contradicts what they WANT scripture to say.
@GregTibbles19@ParkerThune@GeorgeStoia Not the point. You don’t have to tell me that, amigo. I’ve been an OU fan for over 40 years. But we have lost players that have “committed” in the past to inferior teams.
@ParkerThune What a dirt bag spin on what I said. Enjoy your likes.
I’m not assuming that we aren’t “something better”. But obviously for many others in the past they decided that OU wasn’t the best for them.
There are many things I hear Christians say that I want to believe because it makes me feel good. However, I must seek God’s truth in His Word even if it’s not what I want to hear.
Every command that God gives people throughout Scripture to repent, humble, return, choose, forsake, seek, love, believe, turn, choose, etc., implies the freedom to either obey or rebel, demonstrating human free will.
God sets the market on my worth.
On my own, I’m wretched, sinful, blind, naked, and poor.
But I’m made worthy because I’m bought with a price: the blood of Christ. I’m worthy because His blood has made me worthy.
So am I worthy of His love?
YES, through Him!
Hallelujah!
“The problem isn't that Johnny can't read. The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think. The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling.”
- Thomas Sowell
Reformers always accuse people who believe in free will of believing in Pelagianism. This is what Augustine did to Pelagius. However, Pelagius was not even a Pelagian. It was a lie.
If anyone thinks that Charlie would say these things about Candace now, after she has personally attacked his widow in such horrendous ways, they have to be completely delusional.
