🧠 One of the revelations that Resident Evil Requiem brought to light was that one of the founders of the Umbrella Corporation, Oswell/Ozwell E. Spencer, had been researching memory transfer utilizing a virus as a vector. But did you know that this very fact was already acknowledged in the Japanese version of Revelations 2?
> 私は彼の研究を引き継ぎ、その核となる技術、"精神と記憶の転移システム"の実験改良を繰り返してきた。
> I have taken over his research, and have repeatedly conducted experimental improvements of its core technology, the "system for the transfer of mind and memory."
Moreover, Spencer's thesis that blood transformation affects memory may have deeper roots than one might assume.
🪶 In the Resident Evil Village DLC titled Shadows of Rose, the player can find a file called "Ritual Text," likely left behind by ancient cultists. According to their belief, their god, physically manifested through an abnormal fungus, preserves lost lambs for later revival by means of drinking their blood.
Miranda, who discovered both the fungus and this knowledge, adapted them for her research into transferring the memory of her deceased daughter, and she was able to preserve a mental imprint of Ethan Winters by absorbing the blood from his heart.
Thus, Spencer's theory of blood as a medium for memory may actually originate from his own mentor, whose portrait had been hanging in his office beneath Raccoon City all along. And Alex Wesker, seeking a way to preserve her legacy and continue the plan of the late Albert Wesker, adapted the research of her "father" Spencer, thereby closing the loop on the series' timeline.
Due to Delta Force's failure to recover the G-Virus and its subsequent annihilation during the mission, the government began considering the creation of its own bioterrorism response unit, Leon Kennedy was the first to be recruited into this secret organization.

“He’s a grown man”
A grown man whose majority of life has been a total hell, starting with the Raccoon City incident, being forced to become an agent, living through betrayals, meeting multiple broken people on his way, being infected multiple times, seeing his close people die, witnessing innocent people’s tragic fates, facing the real government intentions and how actually everything is complicated and connected behind the scenes — and here don’t even mention the way he got orphaned at a young age, in a brutal way that not a single child deserves to experience.
And here is the moment where we all can learn from Leon: because despite all the things he has been through, he still believes in the best in people, keeps helping even when his own life is in danger, keeps believing that even one saved life can change something.
Over the last few months, I really got tired of all of those toxic takes where people keep trying (and failing) to show that he’s one of the bad guys or morally questionable, or act in an absolutely disgusting way while trying to make us believe those narratives where “grown men deserve to suffer, to be manipulated, to go through whatever they’re going through” only because they’re men.
If you have those kinds of views, sorry-not-sorry, but you’re not welcome on this page, because the majority of my content is centered around Leon S. Kennedy: his path, his close people, his story. It’s about him, and as long as I feel fueled up and inspired — it will be this way.
And whenever someone tries to mock Leon’s fans for “babysitting him”, I am even more convinced that this society is helpless, since now we don’t allow even fictional men to live through the pain they’ve been through, what to say about real life?
Meanwhile, the same people get offended when their fav is treated without any compassion either, but in this case — it’s only the consequence of their own toxic behavior and questionable reputation.
Nevertheless, I am happy to be surrounded by the right people who love Leon the way he is: compassionate himself, kind, and driven to help others no matter what.
Be kind like Leon.

bringing this back bc this is why i love leon so much. sure he’s good looking and has insane combat skills but as a fan and player of the games, it’s important to see topics like this portrayed in media and know there’s light at the end of the tunnel ❤️

Zeno aims his gun twice in his fight with Leon but never fires, but (reloads) it later. It's worth noting that “Redemption” only holds one round, which means it (wasn't) loaded before. Hinting at his likely true intention with Leon that's revealed in the end. (1/6) #REBHFun
