As the first flight prepares to land in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh accelerates on its growth runway, marking a significant milestone for #VisionVizag.

Congratulations to the GMR Group for their exceptional efforts. During our tenure expedited permissions, timely approvals and land acquisition including R&R with an outlay of close to ₹960 crore helped lay a strong foundation for steady progress. Significant portion of the project work was completed, which has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.

I also fondly recall the efforts and contribution of Shri @nitin_gadkari Ji in approving the Bhogapuram Airport Bypass National Highway project in March 2023, connecting Visakhapatnam Port with Bhogapuram International Airport.

విశాఖపట్నంలో కొత్తగా నిర్మించిన భోగాపురం ఇంటర్నేషనల్‌ ఎయిర్‌పోర్టులో తొలివిమానం ల్యాండింగ్ కావ‌డం ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ అభివృద్ధి మార్గంలో ఒకమైలురాయి. #VisionVizag లక్ష్యాన్ని సాధించే దిశగా కీలక అడుగు పడింది.

ఈ ఎయిర్‌పోర్టు నిర్మాణంలో అసాధారణ కృషి చేసిన GMR గ్రూప్‌కు నా హృదయపూర్వక అభినందనలు. మా పాలనా కాలంలో వేగవంతమైన అనుమతులు సాధించడమే కాదు, ఎయిర్‌పోర్టు నిర్మాణం కోసం భూములు ఇచ్చిన వారి పునరావాసం కోసం, భూసేకరణ కోసం సుమారు రూ. 960 కోట్లు ఖర్చు చేయడం ద్వారా ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు బలమైన పునాది వేశాం. ప్రాజెక్ట్‌కు సంబంధించిన ప్రధాన పనుల్లో గణనీయమైన భాగం అప్పుడే పూర్త‌యింది. ఆ రోజు మేం చేసిన కృషి ఇవాళ్టి ఈ కీలక మైలురాయిని చేరుకునేందుకు ముఖ్య కారణంగా నిలిచింది.

అలాగే, విశాఖపట్నం పోర్టును భోగాపురం అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయంతో అనుసంధానించే భోగాపురం ఎయిర్‌పోర్ట్ బైపాస్ జాతీయ రహదారి ప్రాజెక్ట్‌కు 2023 మార్చిలో ఆమోదం ఇచ్చిన శ్రీ నితిన్ గడ్కరీ గారి కృషి, సహకారం నాకు ఎంతో గుర్తుంది.
