@michaeljmarra@HumzaYousaf to withdraw the report would be to coverup real incidents that happened and to lose the basis for useful recommendations made then
seems to be some degree of displacement here, to put blame on the writing of a report rather than the events described in it
@JennyMarra@NicolaSturgeon@NHSTaysideCEO confused that in Parliament you would characterise a serious under-dosing of chemotherapy patients as a "prescribing query" and refer to recommendations for correction of this deviation from best practice as a "whitewash report"!
History being rewritten?
@scotgov If some schools have not already provided catch-up for those off isolating could there be streamed revision sessions provided either regionally or nationally for senior students
@Heather_Adactus @timspector@ClareCraigPath This is more complex because of the relationship between the app users who provide the raw data, and the person who interprets it. Here the interpreter seems to be playing with the data providers by being provocative. Its an uncomfortable blurring of the usual health expert role.
@mikerussellowl @marybootrixie @juanjuego@timspector@ClareCraigPath The stated header "No excess mortality = no pandemic" is incorrect.
Could interpret the graph as an illustration of how control measures reduce excess mortality
@SkyNews Need to stop further exemptions until positivity rate is well below 5% and to stop looking for solace in reasons that excuse the harsh numbers. Scotland is failing to mop up around the edges of hospitality quickly enough and risks long term school and university closures.
@SheenaGlass12@scotgov@NicolaSturgeon Why not? We can control the borders at airports by testing and contact tracing everyone. Commuters would happily pay, businesses could sponsor the set up. We may not have wealth but we have people.
This is about political skill not about indy.
I
@scotgov@NicolaSturgeon Bristol University study didn't include advice on managing the initial intake of students with for example testing on arrival. Did the Scottish Gov get advice elsewhere on this.
@FraochL@scotgov@BBCNews@STVNews@heraldscotland an alternative could have been to self isolate in their family home before leaving to join new household. Or more simply get a negative test before moving to uni.
@scotgov Need to make return to HE a success in spite of ropey covid preparation
๊ญ student herd immunity
๊ญ student to community covid transfer
๊ญ using students for libertarian agenda
โ zero covid in halls of residence
โ testing and home travel
โ student ownership of covid rules
@scotgov Surprised that there is more re-opening with those bad numbers but welcome the enforcement powers for police. As said today things could be better.
@thecourieruk @C_DHealey I thought a doctor-patient consultation is private. Should a consultant be leaking opinion on a patients clinical consultation to sources? What is going on here?
@MspLiz @NHSTayside I think it is being unfair to patients to say that they are not worried about the lower dose of chemotherapy. Of course they are worried. I would ask you put politics aside to first read all the reports from source to inform yourself on what the patients serious concerns may be.
@thecourieruk 2/2 and dangerous for doctors to read and believe. Prof Cameron and his group did find evidence among the hundreds of papers read and his explanation and reasoning for producing an idea of the risk involved makes very good sense.
@thecourieruk 1/2 While Prof Chaplain believes it's difficult to come to any solid conclusion from a mathematical model perspective, that is no justification for saying there's no evidence any of the patients suffered because of the treatment. That comment is offensive to any patient seeing it
@breastcancernow@BCCare Hi, wondering about effects on cancer care post Brexit? This seems like a good petition to promote??
