@cineworld Just to keep you updated on the farcical shenanigans that are now required for a family to book tickets. We came out of our viewing and decided to try for another film. So, we huddle together and go about attempting to book all three tickets individually so we are seated together. This time, we are marred by the fact that the row we wished to sit in consisted of just four seats… yep, you guessed it, single seat warning.
For the 17:00 showing of Runner, trying different ways to get around the warning meant that just one ticket was booked via the app, as at 17:01 the film was now unable to be booked via the app.
We then move to trying to book the rest of the tickets on the machines in the foyer….. however, the other two seats we’d been trying to book via the app are now blocked out and unavailable to be booked. Thinking perhaps they just needed time to release on the system, we waited a while and tried again. NOPE!
At this point it’s worth noting that where your membership card details are displayed in the new app, the QR code isn’t readable on the self serve ticket machines…..
Anyway, we leave it a little while longer and try for the other two seats again, one is now available to be booked using the ticket machine and the other seat is still blocked out. The film is now getting close to starting so we booked a different seat and sat together anyway.
This isn’t moaning about change/changes made, these are lived experiences of using your new app. It’s not working well.
Take the feedback you’re getting from many Cineworld Unlimited customers and realise that you’ve caused an unnecessary issue.
@cineworld Dear Team, can you help this make sense please?
Unlimited Friends & Family
You will no longer be able to book tickets for family members or friends who also have an Unlimited membership. Each Unlimited member will need to book their own tickets. Our Unlimited Terms will be updated to reflect this change.
In our group, I’m usually the one who makes the bookings. This ensures we are sat together in the cinema. This will now be a crap shoot.
@cineworld Still no comment from you but I can see you’ve replied to others so I’m aware you’re seeing the issues.
My family of three have just spent ten minutes logging in on our various devices, hitting the wall of not being able to select our seats because of your single seat warning (we were picking three seats from the isle in), getting round that by booking the seats in order; app usability is not intuitive but we have our tickets. Please don’t spin that as a positive, we only managed to do this due to sitting together in the same room and working through it. My Mum is 78 and even through she’s tech savvy, it was a stress she didn’t need.
So what used to be an easy job is now a ballache. Took way longer than intended and will actually cost you as we’ve now not got time to pick up our usual concessions from the foyer.
Please listen to your loyal customers before you lose them all.
@cineworld I politely asked you to make this policy change make sense. I appreciate you can’t answer everyone but have seen your reply about a living ticket and tbh, it’s nonsensical. Let the loyal unlimited customers play musical chairs in an attempt to sit with their families or friends; farcical and can’t at all /sarcasm see this causing issues at the screenings. Your poor staff 🤦♀️
Is this a case of changing service providers and the new service providers fed the powers that be the bovine excrement of a living ticket because their systems can’t handle cross account management?
Is it a way to get more traffic flowing through your site to general revenue?
Will the booking fee now be applicable to unlimited customers? In turn this would now mean each person would have to pay a fee for the privilege of booking it themselves?
As I asked, please make this make sense. It’s worked for years and seems to be a destructive change.
@MainstreamMatt@cineworld Afraid I’ve just jumped in the thread as didn’t know it was a thing and therefore asked the same question.
What a daft change!
Exactly! Rather than one person making the booking for the group, we’d have to all be available to book at the same time to sit together. That or one person have everyone’s login details and hope that between bookings the seats next to you are not swiped up.
The obvious retort is going to be booking in person at the cinema but who has time for that?
@JohnBarrowman@scottmale Oh sweetheart I’m so sorry. Losing a fur baby is heartbreaking. They take a piece of you with them.
You gave him the best life.
Thoughts and hugs to you all.

@SkyHelpTeam Dear team, can see others are having issues with services, multiple addresses in the SW11 area are not receiving any signal for Sky+
Please advise.
@wandbc Why in gods name have all the trees on the corner of Gwynne Road/Battersea High Street and George Potter Way been chopped down? Not pruned, chopped! Healthy and established for decades!!! Why???

@_ClaireRichards@SkyHelpTeam Sky wifi has been ridiculous since they pushed a router update to enable VoIP. Random wifi not connected messages flashing up on tv yet other devices are still connected.
@batterseahistra@wandbc@PlumisAutomist They didn’t even bother posting the leaflets through the doors, just stuck it to the wall in one of the lobbies. Highly unlikely most will see it or realise the importance.
