Wow. Troy Jackson is leading by A LOT among Dem primary voters. Not only is he ahead by 17, but he also has the support of 91% of these voters if he were the nominee.
As many of you know, the Maine Democratic Party will hold a special convention on Saturday, July 25, where delegates will select the next Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate.
We're in a strong position to win. But it will take all of us working together – and quickly.
First order of business: become a delegate. Time is short. The deadline is Wednesday, July 15, at 5 PM. Register today at https://t.co/MkzKTaQXtS.
Delegates will be selected by Democratic Party voters who attend their county committee meetings on July 18 and 19. Exact dates and locations pending.
Once you register, our team will be in touch to share information about your county meeting, answer any questions, and help you through the process.
Thank you, all!
There is a powerful movement of working class people in the state of Maine, and millions more across America who are ready to send a progressive fighter to the Senate. I’ve been fighting for that movement my whole life — and I’m sure as hell not backing down now, when this fight is needed most.
I’m in. And we're going to defeat Susan Collins. Maine deserves a Senator that will fight for working families.
Never in my life have I witnessed a downtown as devoid of traffic as Milwaukee's. Make no mistake, history will judge the mayor harshly for this disastrous decision.
@the_transit_guy@TearDown794 The freeways make navigating this city easier for the labor class. A promenade would only be developed with high return on investment in mind. Condos, shops, restaurants with insanely high rent. I think downtown residents would rather not live next to a freeway, that’s it.
I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He’s still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes … about IRAN, UKRAINE, the unfolding situation in MAINE, my visit to the TR Presidential Library, and even a little bit of Senate history. I told him we want to see him back at work as soon as possible.
SCOOP: Last night, @saraforwi and @DavidCCrowley backed out of a Wisconsin governor forum hosted by @wimuslims and @wimuslimcivic after organizers told candidates in advance they would have to address the Gaza genocide, anti-BDS law, and the state's definition of antisemitism: 🧵
Watters: You might run against Mamdani?
Portnoy: I would love to run against—if I was going to run, it would be here. Can I win here? I have no idea.
I’ve done a lot of good in NYC, whether it was the Barstool Fund or pizza places, so it wasn’t for show. I’ve had a real job. I’ve done real things, unlike these clown politicians who have never had a job and have never been in the real world for a day
