In my view, it is absurd that Howard Schultz — a guy worth some 3.7 BILLION dollars — is pulling out all the stops to deny decent wages and dignity on the job to the very Starbucks workers who helped him amass his billions. Absurd. Solidarity with the workers. #RedCupRebellion
When tiny shards of metal shot through all of the vents in my previous store, what did management do? Tell us to cover the vents with trash bags and continue working. A contract is the only way to keep ourselves and even customers safe and Starbucks accountable
This one is SO important. Starbucks workers need to be sure that they are safe at work, whether that is from poor working conditions, customers, or even coworkers! Who else has tried bringing a safety concern to management only to have it belittled or ignored?

That’s not an extreme idea.
How does @Starbucks treat workers? Shareholders want to know! A group of investors—led by @NYCComptroller Brad Lander/NYC pension funds—filed a shareholder proposal seeking an audit of @Starbucks labor practices on @SBWorkersUnited. By @josheidelson https://t.co/OYYwf4vNss
what’s going to happen is covid will inevitably spike again, and employees will feel too scared to miss up to 2 weeks without pay, so they’ll hide their symptoms.
ethically bankrupt company at a time of record profits. starbucks is playing a role in prolonging the pandemic.
And remember, these are the conditions at which your orders are being made. Starbucks is literally choosing to not fix these issues and directly attributing to long wait-times and drinks/food that are not to standard. This is happening all across the country.
