#IROS2026 has 1,933 papers. I filtered them down to 3 reading lists totalling 130 papers on robot learning, VLAs, RL fine-tuning of robot policies, imitation learning, and world models, with session times, rooms, and related workshops. Happy reading! https://t.co/quDoOIVw5g
Seeing at least 10-20 “agentic robotics” papers built around GPT-6 Astra + a robotics harness out this week.
But the core idea isn’t new. VoxPoser, Code as Policies, Manipulate-Anything, and others explored LLM-driven robot orchestration years ago, with even deeper roots in TAMP.
What has changed is the underlying technology.
The world of R&D is forking into two paths: the token-abundant research, and the token-starved research. The future is in the former - evidentially, the progress by today's top AI industry teams and neolabs is breathtaking, where researchers’ human brilliance is super charged by AI’s assistance. Every research university president should be reading this report and reflecting on what the future of higher education research should be.

GPT-6 does real2sim end to end from robot demonstrations.
I gave it only multi-view RGB and robot actions, and one simple prompt.
It calibrated the cameras, built the object assets, performed physics system-ID, ran MuJoCo, and rendered in Blender.
People making grand claims about #robotics really need to spend time with actual robots. Debug the controller yourself. Deal with contact, latency, calibration, failures. And before declaring old problems obsolete or rebranding long-standing robotics ideas around foundation models, engage seriously with the field you are making claims about. #ECCV2026
