6 tips for new runners:
1. Go slow
2. Let go of expectations
3. Enjoy it
4. Don’t be afraid to walk
5. Listen to your body.
6. Vary your pace. Mostly easy. Sometimes hard.

Is your tendon pain not going away?
Have you had it get better and then worse for the last 3 months?
Tendons NEED load to get better.
Tendons don't need more ice, tape, rest, massage, needles, bands, straps.
If you are having tendon pain....
LOAD the tendon.
@ATCanonymous From a D3 perspective, I’d say hours even above pay. My pay wasn’t terrible, but the hours sucked. They have to equate to some degree and getting 1-2 Sundays off a month doesn’t cut it when you’re also traveling all year for away games each season.
Athletic trainers: GET AN ANATOMY APP ON YOUR PHONE. 6 years ago I paid $20 for a solid reputable app. I use it almost daily. It makes patient education so much better.
When an injury makes sense to the patient, they buy in 1000x more to both you as a clinician & their care.

The team did a RTP and detected abnormalities. ALL athletes should do an RTP following a symptomatic case before returning to athletics.
My student has been struggling a bit w/ confidence in his exercise prescription/selection.
So I made him a very simplified flow chart.
And now I’m posting it on Twitter cause I think it’s important to remember to not get too “cute” with rehab and remember the basics 💪🏼
