Road accidents involving school children, and other citizens have gotten to alarming levels.
According to statistics of Traffic Police Directorate, about 5400 people die of road accidents annually, that is 15 people on every single day!
We must comprehensively address road carnage in Uganda. It is a crisis that ought to be nipped in the bud.
May the departed souls rest in peace.
Hats off to the people of Ol Kalou. Everything was thrown at you; bribery, violence, intimidation, state power, but you stood firm. Congratulations to Sammy Kamau and the entire DCP team for that resounding victory.
🇺🇬 WHERE IS MUWANGA KIVUMBI?

He also asks: “Is this the new normal?”
Watch his submission below:
@SamsonMKasumba I do agree with you on the part of growth though I think that rate at which we are growing is somehow lacking. We are moving at tortoise speed
A recap of the day Uganda Human Rights Commission Chairperson Mariam Wangadya called security on President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu when he personally delivered complaints, hoping the Commission would respond to the cries of our people. Her response was dismissive rather than compassionate.
Now there are reports that she is seeking safety herself.
The reality is that no one is truly safe in a sinking boat. Sooner or later, everyone feels the consequences of authoritarian rule. The wrath of a dictatorship does not spare those who once believed they were protected!
Mpawoatalikaba.
Mariam Wangadya to President Museveni: I hereby tender my resignation as Chairperson of the Uganda Human Rights Commission. I thank you for the opportunity to serve Uganda over the years in the promotion and protection of human rights.
In the 2022 elections, about 8 million registered Kenyan voters did not turn up to vote because for many of them, there simply wasn’t a candidate who inspired them.
When voter registration was happening last year, the same pattern emerged. Young people were registering in very low numbers because once again, they didn’t have a reason to. But from March this year, during the enhanced voter registration exercise, something changed. Young people started turning up in large numbers. They had finally found a reason.
The millions who stayed away from the ballot in 2022, most of them young people will also come out in 2027 because at last, they have found the kind of leadership they have been yearning for.
Edwin Sifuna is more than a presidential candidate. He embodies the hopes and aspirations of millions of Kenyans who in the previous election felt unheard and unrepresented. Whether as the flag bearer or as part of the presidential ticket, his presence fundamentally changes the political equation.
A generation has finally found its standard-bearer.

The charge sheet that had Chris Obore and others has a new A1.
That A1 has more files and counts than the number of Votes Munyagwa garnered from his own polling station!
UPDATE: Anita Annet Among will appear before anti-corruption court tomorrow at 10am. Despite the anti-corruption operation being IGG led, some cases preferred against the Bukedea Woman MP are to be read to her before the court martial!
