Yesterday we launched the ‘Munoonye HIV Testing Campaign’ aimed at identifying over 10,000 children and adolescents living with HIV, for targeted interventions. The campaign, running from April to Sept 2024, seeks to increase access to ART by young people. I urged my team to ensure that school nurses, who play a crucial role in monitoring children's health in schools, are actively involved. Emphasis should also be put on the importance of antenatal care in preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
Gratitude to stakeholders like the Global Fund, PEPFAR, and the UN for their support in HIV programming. Together, let's achieve our targets in ending AIDS among children.
