What happened to the historical Vihara mentioned in the Aanaimangalam copper plates?

The Society of Jezus (Jezuits) settled Nagai at 1859 who were hell bent on demolishing Chulamani Vihara which was in dilapidated condition due to lack of maintenance. They met the Tanjore district engineer Captain Oakes and requested him to demolish the "unimportant structure that had no sculptures or inscriptions"

Local fishermen were using it as a makeshift lighthouse for identifying the shore. But nobody knew that this Vihara had historical significance because the copper plates were in Leiden were not deciphered yet. Sir Charles Trevelyn, English civil servant, personally examined the structure and concluded that it was not worthy to be maintained by spending the British money and issued orders for the demolition.

St. Joseph college of Nagai demolished it at their own cost, and used the remnants from the structure for their buildings.
A historic structure hailed as tall as the Meru mountain by Chola plates, and described as a majestic Chinese pagoda in Marco Polo's travels was lost because of colonial contempt for our past without even giving our undeciphered history a fair chance.

Drinking beverages above 65°C is a Group 2A carcinogen. The mechanism is thermal injury to the esophageal lining, repeated over years, driving chronic inflammation and cell turnover.

Islami 2019 prospectively followed 50,045 adults in Iran for 10 years and measured tea drinking temperature objectively. People who drank tea at 60°C or higher had 41% higher risk of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. People who preferred "very hot" tea had 141% higher risk. People who drank within 2 minutes of pouring had 51% higher risk than people who waited 6+ minutes.

A separate cohort in Kenya (Middleton 2019) found 3.7 times the risk for "very hot" drinkers vs warm.

Tea cools below 65°C in roughly 4 to 5 minutes in a standard mug. The threshold is the temperature, not the drink.

The unique thing about Trinamool Congress’s electoral malpractices is blocking the passage of the voter to the booth (they learnt it from the CPM). CRPF jawans guard the booth, while the CISF, ITBP and BSF guard EVM units, but the route from my house to my booth is strewn with goons of the ruling party. If my voting preference is too obvious, they wouldn’t allow me to even step out of my doorstep.

This is the greatest challenge for the main challenger among the opposition to come to power in the state. Mamata Banerjee could do it in 2011 because the CPM’s power of area domination had depleted considerably due to infighting, while its goons had moved lock, stock and barrel to the Trinamool Congress. The district magistrate, in his/her capacity as the district electoral officer, had the authority to decide the movement and deployment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) until recently. Starting with the 2026 West Bengal assembly elections, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has withdrawn this authority from the district administration to prevent misuse by ruling parties and ensure ‘optimal deployment’. What does that mean? How will the forces ensure that people on the way to their respective booths are not threatened and/or told that their votes have been cast already?
