@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant Nigga what!?
Josephus never existed? He’s independently mentioned by Roman historians Suetonius (Life of Vespasian 5.6) and Cassius Dio (Roman History 65), both describing his capture by Vespasian. We also have his surviving historical works. You’re denying a well-established
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant I never denied that Romans sometimes denied criminals proper burial. But you’re claiming Jesus was probably buried in a mass grave without evidence specific to his case. Josephus records Jewish burial customs, and archaeology confirms a crucified man received burial. General Roma
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant Mark says the women fled in fear and told nobody. Matthew says they hurried to tell the disciples. Those aren’t necessarily contradictory. They could have remained silent initially before telling the disciples. You’re assuming Mark means they never told anyone, which the text is
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant I don’t believe in European low iq stories proof that it me dumbass you can’t read the bible then become a doctor and diagnose people from 2000 years ago when you realise your getting theology raped which is usually how it ended for pagans🤣
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant Ah there you go exactly as I talked to about you people don’t care about evidence or proof or read the bible you people are ignorant and boastful keep to your pagan life my people will continue on 😂😂
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant Your claim about Roman burials is false. Josephus (Jewish War 4.317) and Philo record crucifixion victims receiving burial. Archaeologists even discovered Yehohanan, a crucified man buried in a Jerusalem tomb. None proves Jesus’ burial, but they refute your assumption
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant First Mary Magdalene was mentally ill, now Paul had epilepsy? You’re diagnosing people who lived 2,000 years ago without medical evidence. Paul admitted persecuting Christians, but there’s no proof guilt or epilepsy caused his conversion. You demand evidence while presenting
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant I agree, the burden of proof lies with whoever makes the claim. Christianity has historical and philosophical arguments supporting it, which we can debate. But you also claimed the Gospels contradict each other. That is your claim, so you must demonstrate an actual contradiction.
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant You demand evidence, then claim Jesus was probably buried in a mass grave and Mary Magdalene was mentally ill. Where’s your evidence for either? We have early resurrection testimony in 1 Corinthians 15 and burial accounts in the Gospels. You can dispute their reliability
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant Different details don’t automatically mean contradictions. Mark names Mary Magdalene among those who discovered the empty tomb. John describes her later encounter with Jesus. Mark doesn’t deny that encounter; it simply doesn’t narrate it. An omission isn’t a contradiction.
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant You’re assuming Jesus meant the Second Coming. Mark 9:1 is followed six days later by the Transfiguration, which Christians understand as a revelation of His kingdom. Mark 13 also concerns Jerusalem’s destruction in 70 AD. You need to establish your interpretation
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant Quote frankly I don’t think any of you pagans have ever read the bible, Or gone through it or studied it. And most likely come from a Protestant background which is the lowest form of Christianity
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant I never denied that Europeans had other reasons to unite. Christianity was simply one of the most influential. And I believe Christianity is true because of its theological and historical foundations, not wishful thinking. If the Bible has so many issues, name them
@anglocobain@LoghainMacTir78@MarbleBust84@headless_giant Well Christianity is the only truth first of all I don’t know why your trying to give paganism Any bit of chance
Also You’re putting words in my mouth. Christianity helped unite European kingdoms, preserve their identity and resist Muslim expansion
