Send Tim Walz to a swing state high school football game every Friday night, college football game every Saturday, and NFL game every Sunday until November.
Growing up, I learned to be generous toward my neighbors, compromise without compromising my values, and to work for the common good.
@KamalaHarris and I both believe in that common good – in that fundamental promise of America. We’re ready to fight for it. And like she says: when we fight, we win.
“You can’t be the party of freedom and control women’s bodies.
You can’t be the party of family and love your guns more than our kids.
You can’t be the party of faith and worship at the feet of Donald Trump.”
@epigeekGab I agree. Mandating “research” in training programs has led to a dilution of quality research. We are told in academics we have to present/publish or we can’t be promoted. But we are given no time to learn or conduct good research. Being a good clinician is not valued anymore.
Being a woman in medicine will continue to be challenging until we shift our expectations…. With more women entering the field, there is a responsibility to be more authentic and vulnerable as we help to shape the next generation of physicians. https://t.co/YjmUW5fgb9
PgY3: opens email from most widely read med journal in the world.
NEJM: residents these days don’t stay late for patient care time, want wellness days, and have cognitive dissonance between work and wellbeing. Nothing we do makes them happy.
PgY3: closes laptop.
Residency is funny because they will let you be the night senior in the ICU and start levo on a patient in shock but then also email you if you decide not to go to a lecture that you don't think you need your own education as an adult in your thirties lol
