After high school, Yaxel Lendeborg was working in a warehouse and had no plans to attend college. His mother pushed him to keep pursuing basketball.
Tonight, he was selected No. 11 overall by the Warriors.

"He didn't break the law out of greed. He broke it out of love. Standing in court, head in his hands, shivering in an orange jumpsuit, he looked like just another criminal facing fraud charges. But the file on the judge's desk told a different story. He'd written a bad check for thousands of dollars. Not for a new car or a vacation, but at a pharmacy counter. When the insurance company denied his mother's life-saving medication, panic took over. He knew the check would bounce, but he also knew it was the only way to get the medicine she needed to survive the week. Now, he faced prison time for that desperation. And as he stood there weeping, his only thought wasn't about jail, but about who would take care of her if he was gone. He braced himself for sentencing. But the judge didn't bring down his gavel. In a moment that stunned the entire room, she stood, leaned across the bench, and wrapped her arms around him. She didn't see a con artist; she saw a loving son pushed to the brink. Holding his face in her hands, she looked him in the eye and delivered the life-changing verdict: 'It's over. I'm dropping the charges. You deserve a second chance, and I believe you can take advantage of it.' She didn't just give him back his freedom; she gave him the challenge of going home, taking care of his family, and making this mercy matter. Sometimes, justice isn't just about punishment. It's about understanding. Do you think the judge made the right decision by looking at the 'why' instead of just the 'what'?"
Lonzo & Gelo Ball were SHOOK hearing Amber Rose go OFF on modern day woman for demanding expensive dates and had to give her a round of applause for saying she’s fine with going to Wendy’s 💯👀
“These b*tches are so f*cked… If I’m going to Cheesecake factory, your dusty a$$ can go to Cheesecake factory… They ruin it for woman like me… I’m Amber Rose.”

I'm convinced @DukeWBB Coach Kara Lawson is one of the best leaders in sports. This clip on urgency, growth not being linear, and the idea that there is no finish line is superb:
🥱 Need It > Want It. The people who win aren’t always the most gifted, they’re the ones who refuse to look away from what’s required RIGHT NOW. They stay present with the hard, the boring, and the uncomfortable, and they attack anyway. Wanting shows up when it’s convenient; needing shows up when it costs you something.
📈📉 Growth isn’t a straight line. There will be peaks that tempt your ego and valleys that test your belief. Real leadership is keeping your urgency and sharpness intact through all of it. Trusting that consistency is what will carry you through. Don't let your own impatience with stagnancy take your spirit.
🏁 There is no finish line where you finally get to coast, only new levels that ask more of you. Better is a direction, not a destination. The “ceiling” you feel is often just an imaginary story you’ve told yourself about what’s possible. Growth asks for the endurance to keep going and the humility to treat every day, every season, every year as another chance to get better.
Bring urgency to the way you show up every day. Don't ever give up on your own growth. 🌱
Met a man in the gym in his 50s with a physique most people want and I asked for his routine.
He said: “Just 2 exercises per muscle group. Been doing it for 20 years.”
Chest — incline bench + cable fly
Shoulders — overhead press + lateral raises
Biceps — hammer curls + preacher curls
Triceps — pushdowns + overhead extensions
Back — pull-ups + barbell rows
Legs — squats + leg extensions
Then I begin to wonder
Are we doing too much in the gym just to feel productive during a workout?
DC Young Fly said in the Book of Job, God kept snatching everything from Job and Job wanted to know why him. So he asked God, “Why me? I put so much good into the world, I don’t understand.” God told him, “Why not you? This is the time for you to praise my name. This is the time for you to tell other people that through the midst of pain, I’m the one you’re getting your strength from.” I FELT THAT FOR REAL!
