Hands down, the best tactile feel of any non-Begali key I own. 100% worth your money. I had never heard of Richlite, but I'm a huge fan of the feel and ergos of this key #N0SA#CWForever#hamradio#rlp#CW
I did some chasing this morning and forgot how awful my noise floor is at home. I really want to setup a loop on the ground antenna for a SDR. I'm waiting for the #airspyranger to come out. Cheers! #sdr#packtenna#cwforever#yaesuft891
Another beautiful activation in the Angeles National Forest, US-4453. I hunted a couple states I didn't have and had a QSO with a JA station. Overall, great morning. #POTA#BegaliExpedition#morsecode#CWforever#QROops
I finally started using PoLo. Very cool app. I activated US-4453 and got into Japan and a P2P at St. Kitts & Nevis KN-0001! The ATAS never lets me down. And the new mount lets me tune down to 30m and 40m now. #truckbedcounterpoise#POTA#CWForever#ATAS120#TeamTaco#hamradio
The build is done! The 9:1 was a lot harder than I expected. That's okay, she's all buttoned up and ready for mounting! The goal of this setup is to jump from band to band and chase #CW#POTA & #SOTA from home. 71' of wire and some coax and it'll be ready! #CWForever#hamradio
@suyogvyawahare@K3TripleR 49:1 is typically for resonant antennas. 20/40m are an example. 9:1 is for random wire antennas. They're not resonant on any of the ham bands. When coupled with a 10:1 tuner, you can hop from band to band and tune it up. I hope that helps.
@K3TripleR And I don't have the funds or time for the hexbeam that I really want. Not yet. The DNR on the 891 for CW works a dream. So I should be good.
@K3TripleR I'm planning on doing 71-72 feet. That's the most I can do on my lot. That'll give me access to most everything I want. My Mat-Tuner does 10:1. That with my 891 should be a good setup from hunting and chaser POTA/SOTA from home. That's my hope at least. My noise floor sucks.
