Finally got some spare time to start playing #DOOMTheDarkAgesRevelations, and I was immediately reminded of how incredible id Tech is. Buttery smooth performance, great visuals, and excellent frame pacing. It's also one of the few fast-paced games where I can use Frame Generation without worrying much about the extra input latency. The engine is already so well optimized that it keeps frame times remarkably consistent and latency very low.
On the gameplay side, I’m still getting used to the new Chain Spear, but it's a great addition that brings the game a bit closer to DOOM Eternal, which is my favorite in the series.
The XFX RX 9070 XT recently saw a price drop at a local e-tailer, and is now about $70 more expensive than the cheapest RTX 5070 they stock.
It is also around $250 cheaper than the cheapest 5070 Ti they stock.
The 9070 XT is a very easy recommendation, especially at these prices. And with FSR 4.1 being as good as it is, and FSR FG being much improved, as per @AncientGameplay latest video on it, it really is a good deal. This is the cheapest I've seen this GPU here in South Africa. For reference, I paid R16999 ($1060 USD) for mine a week after launch.
Other component pricing will fall because less people will be building PCs. Shops will begin to sell bundles just do get inventory out the door. similar to what microcenter does.

>It's too expensive I could build a better computer for the same price.
Do it, no one cares.
This is going to be an awesome machine for people who play in their living rooms / use it to legally obtain media and watch shows on the desktop mode.
We are too busy hyper criticizing everything that doesn't concern us.
People who are clearly never going to buy anything are way too opinionated on something they have never actually had, go cry about it on Reddit.
I will never understand the logic of these retard fucking simps who defend soulless corporations when their entire purpose is to inherently bend you over and extract as many dollars they can from your wallet
