Even at $1 million a coin, miners could be paid less per block than today — and a lot less after inflation. Price doesn’t fix the falling ratio.

I run the numbers simply, then look at NAT, the one project trying to add a second reward for miners without touching Bitcoin itself. It holds almost every card except demand.

Agree with the core of this. The security budget problem is real and scheduled, and NAT is the only thing actually trying to fix it without touching Bitcoin itself. Holding it as a hedge against that problem makes sense for the same reason people hold BTC.The bit I keep coming back to (and went into in the video) is where the demand comes from beyond pure belief. “Buy it because it helps Bitcoin” is a bit too altruistic on its own. If something gets built that gives NAT actual utility — real Bitcoin DeFi on TAP, for example — then demand doesn’t have to rely on people just deciding to hold it as insurance. That’s the missing piece for me.
