Bengals fans: Fire Zac Taylor! And you think things will change when you still have the front office/GM /ownership that hired him (and Dave Shula, Coslet, LeBeau, Lewis)?
Its been over 30 years and our fanbase still hasn't figured out who is to blame.
@gothburz Why not run with it - seems clearly we are in the midst of the Malthusian Hedonist moment.
Merchandising opportunities abound and with favorable margins considering you are targeting people determined to YOLO their discretionary income.
I am a mayor of a large top 20 city. I became mayor, in part, by appealing to populist sympathy’s. I promised to make our city a “sanctuary city”. Immigration is controlled by federal law. Want I made was a promise. I had no authority to make that promise legal or morally. It was a promise I couldn’t back. But it polled well.
So the “Marcos” poured in. To my city and others like it. We found creative ways to fund these new people with federal money. Child care services boomed. Everyone needs a little hospice, don’t they? So much undiagnosed autism.
And then they decided to actually enforce immigration laws. I couldn’t help any of the Marco’s. This came as a real surprise to the Marco’s. It shouldn’t have. Those were just promises. The polling said to promise that. The polling was right.
Interestingly my daughter went to study abroad during this time. She had to have a passport that would be valid for 6 months longer than her stay. She had to get a visa. She had to promise not the work while overseas. She had to promise to leave when her visa expired. We had to submit financial statements showing we had enough money to get her home if she overstayed and they had to force her out. They weren’t going to allow her to stay. They definitely weren’t going to pay for her to leave.
@MorEdge_Insight It’s only failure if you fail to account for the likelihood of failure.
Blue Origin decided to roll with one rocket, one launch pad.
Now they have no rocket and no launch pad.
This is no “quick off the mat” to learn and advance from mistakes made scenario.
@gothburz Is prolific brand damaging advertising really "free". Their stock price over the last 5 years (-300% return) tells me definitively they have paid dearly for all that "free" publicity.

@gothburz He was and is a sneering disingenuous turd - alienating half your potential audience has proven a fatal, strategy. The number of long term late night winners who chose that path still pinned on zero.
Barney Frank was central to loosening the very mortgage lending rules that led to the 2008 banking crisis. Lets face it, if he weren't famous as an early gay figure in congress, he would just be seen as another bleeding heart, liberal moron that did far more harm than good.
@billscher Polling favoring democrats - a potential "blue wave".
You don't say?
Left tilted, pollster distortion is as reliable as dandelions on my spring lawn. Time to clean up in the prediction markets, again
@joeroganhq Free speech and thought on a broadscale level is scary to people who feel entitled to decide what is and should be. Ironically those same people (and this lady) never see themselves as the arrogant, authoritarian monsters they truly are.
Meh. Yeah the dude is all about gold tone everything, always has been. Gaudy? Ohh yeah. Ever seen the interior of his Trump Tower condo? Sweet Jesus.
Few care, except of course for the people who care, (obsess) about absolutely everything about him. Just look at your post engagement stats...
Not your best work 2/10.
