@AnnLinkReville I’ve really noticed a difference in the things I see on here, both in my original account and this one which I like to try and keep crafty. It’s put me off a bit. A shame in a way, but it’s had a knock on effect and I’m using other socials less too.
Oof! This took ages! Still need to block, so it will grow a bit more. Westknits Aurora Cabin Shawl, with a mixture of Birdstreet Yarn 4 Ply and Rowan Summerlite 4 Ply.
And now for a glass of something fizzy! Merry Christmas if you’re celebrating tomorrow. #knittingtwitter
Hello all still on #knittingtwitter! This is what I’ll be working on this weekend, when I’m not convincing people to buy me birthday drinks!
Westknits bubble cardi with a mixture of yarns. Cream coloured ribbing and cuffs eventually. It’s ever so lovely and soft!
Today’s knit - a brighter project for a brighter day. Dan Lee of Bona Yarns’s Wavemaker shawl with his hand dyed fingering yarn. Loving it. #knittingtwitter
Rainy Saturday mood - a low-effort top down aran jumper that should be ready for autumn weekends, with tea and home made choc chip banana bread. #knittingtwitter
Oi oi #knittingtwitter. First patterned section of my fine lace @ArneCarlos cardi done and couldn’t resist blocking it to see it in all its glory. So happy with my colour choices.
And at first yawn she sensibly puts the fine lace down and gingerly steps away from it to go and read a book. It’s growing though!

Good grief #knittingtwitter. Obviously the more sensible than me know this, but don’t try and do fine lace intarsia right before bed after a long day. I don’t know what I did, or how I fixed it, or why there’s still a loop at the back. Don’t need tips - just understanding!
@KororaK Probably the same thing I was thinking when I decided to cast on a full on cardigan in lace weight on 2mm needles. The first sleeve has taken me 23hrs. But it’ll be pretty!
@HealthyMovement I wasn’t happy with the pick-up - it left a couple of gaps that I couldn’t tighten up by knitting through the back of the loop next row. First time doing it when the right side is reverse stocking stitch so maybe that has something to do with it. Much happier with the second go!
Not #knitting but still lovely. I was out in London when a loud, boozy bunch of lads ran past. I shrank back, nervous as one of them fixated on me before saying… “I really like your barnet”
(rhyming slang Barnet Fair = hair). Proper made me smile. See picture of barnet below.
