FWIW, I've been keeping an eye on the Knitting . com guys - AKA Smarm and Mansplain, as the kid calls them.

The website now has a video up, lots of hyperbolic 'coming soon' stuff but nothing really concrete.

But their splash page has a request for designers in it, so presumably they'll be doing patterns and yarn?

But never forget they intend to build this business up... then SELL IT outright.

THAT is their business model.
And that's some shoddy ass stewarding.

TLDR.
It seems the only thing they have changed is how they "handle" us.
