Another youngster wins for @Pitt_WRES, as Bode Marlow beats Dylan Evans - who won two matches at NCAAs last year 4-1 in SV at 174. Evans is up two weight classes from March. #H2P

At 149, Eugene Harney uses a 2nd-period takedown for a 4-1 victory over Kal Miller in a battle of NCAA qualifiers at @Pitt_WRES Blue-Gold Match. #H2P

Freshman Santino Sloboda beats returning NCAA qualifier Tyler Chappell 3-2 in TB-2 in 125-pound bout at @Pitt_WRES's Blue-Gold Match. Not much scoring, but great scrambles, with the freshman winning the only one to result in a reversal, 8:45 into the match.

Smart investment.

[Rowley @RudisRowley]

We at RUDIS gave Bo Bassett a six figure deal at 14. Had 2027 circled for his first Senior World Team, LA 2028 for gold and a shoe deal to follow 💪🏿

Today he beat Real Woods to make his first Senior World Team a year early. Apparently nobody told Bo to wait 👏🏿

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

@Rhino184 More amazing is that he was up 4 points with 1:52 to go, took 2 1/2 minutes of injury time and still lost by four.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

Real Woods looks real tired.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

@BoBassett06 makes it THREE World Teams this year. He beats Real Woods 9-5 to make the U.S. Senior World Team.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

Johnstown-area native @BoBassett06 takes the first match in a best-of-3 series with Real Woods, 8-4. Bassett dominated the action and is now one win away from making the U.S. Senior World Team.

@Mitch_Rupert And that's why the most passionate among us - and I count you in that group - continue to find ways to stay involved in sports media even when we've left for other industries.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

@Mitch_Rupert I was just having a conversation about this yesterday. Media companies think people will be so enamored with covering sports - especially if it's on TV - that they don't have to pay a livable wage. Sadly, it ends up being true, as our passions often cloud our judgment.

This looks awesome!

@WrestlingRidge @DeputyKooper Correction to this. I forgot international styles have the two bronze-medal matches, so he's actually wrestling Boiko for bronze.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

Huge win for Kooper Deputy of @WrestlingRidge, as he techs European champion Huseyn Rzazade of Azerbaijan 12-1 in the U17 Freestyle World Championships. Kooper will face Ukraine’s Volodymyr Boiko later this a.m. with a spot in bronze-medal match on the line.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

Kooper Deputy of @WrestlingRidge was a split-second from making it to the semifinals at the world championships in Azerbaijan. Instead, he'll try to come back for a bronze medal tomorrow.

You have to check out this wrestling facility!

@Pitt_WRES has an unbelievable set up for the future.

🥇 Vince claims the 70 kg title at the U20 Pan-American Championships!

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

@SteveRotstein @FRPantherSports Hope he's OK. He looked like he might have been concussed during the second period, returned to wrestle unbelievably well in the final minutes, then nearly fell down after the match. It was bizarre.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

We've got a third match at 61 kilograms! Jax Forrest beats Marcus Blaze 6-1 in Match 2, scoring a counter takedown and turn on one Blaze's few offensive attacks of the day. They'll wrestle one more time to determine who gets the spot on the U.S. senior world team.

[Knops Knotes @KnopsKnotes]

Marcus Blaze beats Jax Forrest 2-2 in first bout of best-of-3 series at Final X. The Bishop McCort grad will need to win two straight to make the senior national team for a second consecutive year.
