@jj__george @Ada_Grrrl Police exist to enforce the might of the state and property rights of the rich. They are authoritarian by nature, and in a society that is plummeting towards Auth-Right, why would someone see those laws as worth enforcing? How to process that her friend is a class traitor.

@Ada_Grrrl That's hard. My cousin is in the police force, and admittedly I haven't spoken to him some nice he joined (not deliberately, we were just never close) the sad thing is that it's one of the few jobs these days that comes with anything approaching a real pension.
