People Against SIR -- an all India Platform formed. To launch 'No SIR' campaign across India with a slogan 'Har Galli Jantar Mantar, Har Gaon Jantar Mantar, Mera Ghar Jantar Mantar' (All streets, All villages, All homes Jantar Mantar) @DeccanHerald
#India: CPJ is deeply concerned by reports that women journalists — including @NDTV's Vasudha Venugopal (@Vasudha156) and @TanushkaDutta, @MaktoobMedia’s Fida Fathima, Nada Saeeda, and Akhtarisa Ansari and The @WashingtonPost columnist @RanaAyyub — have faced heckling, abuse, and threats while covering protests in New Delhi.
Heckling, verbal abuse, and threats are not harmless: They can escalate into physical attacks and put journalists’ safety at risk, particularly in volatile protest settings. Everyone must respect journalists’ right to report, regardless of whether they agree with their coverage. Authorities must ensure journalists can work safely without intimidation and threats.

It’s not running away — it’s leaping ahead!
The comrade in that striking image — the one who broke free from the Delhi Police and charged forward with the SFI flag — is a Malayali from Palakkad. She is Pavitra, a native of Mankara and an Anthropology student at Delhi University.
It is fighting youth like Pavitra — who never bow to any threat and never falter under any repression — who are agitating on the streets of Delhi to reclaim democracy.
