Funny how the 'zombie filibuster' and silent obstruction are suddenly a crisis when it blocks YOUR bill... but were just fine when Mitch McConnell turned the Senate into a legislative graveyard.

He let hundreds of House-passed bills die without even a reading, debate, or vote, over 250 by mid-2019, climbing to 395 by early 2020 (McConnell himself admitted it on Fox: 'We're not going to pass those').

Many were bipartisan, popular measures on background checks, drug prices, election security, infrastructure, you name it. But they didn't fit the GOP agenda, so they rotted on his desk while the Senate worked light weeks and prioritized judges & tax cuts.

Now one citizenship-proof bill gets stalled and it's time to revive talking filibusters? Spare us the selective outrage. The Senate's been dysfunctional for years and YOUR side mastered the art of doing nothing when it suited them... I'm not sure who more of a clown is for pushing this narrative you or @elonmusk
