Donkey Kong only exists because Nintendo couldn’t get the Popeye licence in time.
The original idea was Popeye saving Olive Oyl from Bluto.
When that fell through, Popeye became Jumpman, Olive became Pauline, and Bluto became a giant ape.
Mario was born from a licensing problem.
@archer_actual@MetalliDayYTT@jd_03_@kirawontmiss Ik. Which is why I found it weird they went "shes black now". People go in an outrage if whitewashed but not the other way round. Double standard. But I want miles to not change because it IS part of his story.
@MetalliDayYTT@jd_03_@kirawontmiss I mean if we being fair it is what they did to my little mermaid. Although Miles character has that built into him so im personally for a keep Miles the way he is guy. But they race swap anything nowadays wouldnt be suprised.
@NFLMMApundit BTW im not saying this to be an ass. But this is the reality. Yeah people can obviously work past it and im not saying that, but entering in the workforce and being able to afford basic fucking necessities with some fun should not be this hard.
@NFLMMApundit@Cryptoboyy_Aji per month After taxes, Social Security, Medicare, and other deductions, the average take-home pay lands around $2,400–$2,700 per month depending on the state (closer to $2,500–$2,600 for a single person with no "fancy" deductions). Blaming avocado toast or $10/month apps is
@MrAmerica2025@Cryptoboyy_Aji Have you ever thought that MAYBE sometimes people cant AFFORD to move out of these areas? Dunno if thats the guys case but jfc yall all sound the same. Why are we focusing on what we "should be doing" when the government is making it harder for EVERYONE???? Different economy's.
@bigbluetractor@feelgoodtale Actually for him it wouldnt be a short bike ride since we use a highway. It would probably be 1hr 15 to an 1hr 30. Which he has school, so no. Not a "short" bike ride since he has 30 minutes to get from his house after school to work at 4 gets home by 3:30.
@bigbluetractor@feelgoodtale If they would make public transportation accessible this wouldnt be an issue, or charge an arm and a leg, then no it wouldnt be worth it. But until that happens sadly thats the way it is. Be lucky you have a good car and dont have to deal w it. I use to have to deal w this.
@bigbluetractor@feelgoodtale Thats the world we in. People have bills to pay. Public transportation. I can manage my car fine but other people dont have that. I drive an hour to and from work. If my car was that way id still have to drive because there is no public transportation in my area so yeah.
@DCMaine2384@Monaangl_7m If someone says no, its as simple as no. Thats like walking into a grocery store taking the deodorant and leaving. "Well they shouldve locked it" and thats exactly what they are doing now because of dumb fucks like you. Other countries dont have this big of an issue mind you.
@bigbluetractor@feelgoodtale And b4 you say something even dumber like "uber/Lyft exists" ive been driving my buddy home because hes literally 10 minutes away from where he works and its 30$. He's a minimum wage bagger. So he probably takes home 20$ after a 7hr shift because his hours keep getting cut.
@bigbluetractor@feelgoodtale "DoNt DriVE a CaR if YoU CAnT AfForD It" dumbest shi ive ever heard. Large portions of the US dont have public transportation. There's maybe 6-7 states where this makes sense. You can buy a beater for 2,000 off FB. Hard to make money when you dont have a ride. Guess ill die.
@bigbluetractor@feelgoodtale Bro some of these things cost 1000s of dollars to repair you think most people just have several thousand lying around? Repairs gotta be cheaper before that arguments made. I aint saying your wrong, but some people legit cant afford it in today's economy.
