For me, If you are able to win people over to your religion or faith without using your religious book, you are someone worth listening to or emulating. You cannot convince a sane person to believe in a book simply because you are convinced of it. It doesn't make sense.
I think the healthiest form of ambition is simply curiosity about your own potential.
How good could I get at this? How far could I take it? What would happen if I gave this everything I had for five years?
A lot of people kill that curiosity before they ever get an answer. They decide what's realistic based on their environment, their age, their circumstances, or what other people have managed to accomplish.
Ambition is just refusing to decide your limits before you've actually reached them.
Nothing will kill more dreams over the next decade than the paralyzing curse of infinite optionality.
Decide what you want. Calculate the cost to get there. Pursue as if no other option ever existed. Fall in love with the sound.
To focus is to reject
I’m in love with this sentence:
“If it’s out of your hands, it should be out of your mind, too. If you can’t control the situation, stop letting it control your emotions.”
if you want temporary results, change your actions. if you want permanent results, change your habits. if you want extraordinary results, change your identity.
If you want to change, you have to become conscious of your unconscious patterns. You have to catch yourself in the act of being the old self. And then you have to choose differently. Not once. A thousand times. Until the new choice becomes the new default.
you need a dangerous amount of confidence to escape an ordinary life cos the person who becomes successful has to believe something that everyone else doubts.
Don’t focus on the goal, focus on building the environment, the lifestyle, and the routine that will naturally increase the probabilities of you reaching that goal, focus on becoming the kind of person who will inevitably get it done.
the only reason that i am successful is i'm faster than everybody else.
pay attention;
by the time they have thought about an idea, taken it to a meeting and started to move, i have already made 2-3 mistakes and found a faster way.
elon musk is the same.
i remember when he said, "if someone says something takes 8 months, i reject that idea and figure out how to get it done in 8 days" and it's wild.
you know, in our companies we implemented something called the 24 hr rule, which was this idea that if we want to win, we have to decrease the time between thinking about a thing and doing the thing.
most people say, "we'll get back to you on that next week" i hate that line cos that's where dreams and money die. instead i say , "can you get it to me tomorrow??"
if the only thing we do differently from our competitors is move faster, i don't have to be richer, smarter or even better. while they spend a week getting started, we start immediately, make mistakes early learn and finish in a day. by the time they begin making their own mistakes, we're already close to perfecting our execution.
i'm just faster.
because at a certain level, the game stops being about how hard you can work and becomes about how well you can think. reading compresses years of other people's experience into hours, helping you see opportunities, patterns, mistakes and strategies that working harder alone would never reveal.
the poor man asks, how can i work more? but the wealthy man asks, what do i need to understand so i can make my work worth more?
learn something, buena suerte 👍
The peace of mind that comes with not bothering what others will say about the situation when you decide to be mute. In fact, whatever you believe is utterly correct. 😅
you need to understand cash flow because money doesn’t move randomly. it flows like a river between its banks. if you don’t know where the banks are, you’ll never understand where the money is going.
