For me, If you are able to win people over to your religion or faith without using your religious book, you are someone worth listening to or emulating. You cannot convince a sane person to believe in a book simply because you are convinced of it. It doesn't make sense.
Stop using church people as the reason you don’t go to church anymore.
There are messy people at your job too… but you still show up for work every day. 🫢
I think you will know if you’re going to make it in life. something inside you just tells you. You just feel it. Even when you’re at the lowest point, everything still somehow clicks.
I’ve realized that many people don’t actually love reading books. They love the identity of being someone who reads books. The aesthetic of it. The photos. The intellectual vibe. But the quiet discipline of reading slowly and thinking deeply? That part is very unpopular.
@UmarsDaughter @Ayoelesho I don't understand why this comment is being attacked. There'll always be that one man who will marry that woman every other man thinks will not get a man. And it doesn't matter who pays for what at this stage. It is what it is.
But honestly, what exactly is this “Holy Spirit carry me oh” trend?
And what are all these TikTok videos with careless captions like:
“Holy Spirit cannot carry me because my yansh is big.”
“Holy Spirit cannot carry me because I have weight.”
When did the Holy Spirit become something we joke about?
Why do we always turn our own faith into comedy? Is the Holy Spirit a joke to us? Then we wonder why people don’t take Christianity seriously. We are the ones publicly misrepresenting what we claim to believe, treating sacred things casually and without reverence.
And please, this is not just “na cruise.” What kind of cruise makes us reduce the Spirit of God to a punchline?
As Christians, we must do better. The Holy Spirit is not a trend. He is not a meme. He is the Spirit of the living God. Let us be mindful of the trends we follow and careful not to dishonor the faith we profess.
Nathaniel Bassey really needs to address this. I understand that it’s his song and he may be happy that it’s trending, but there should be boundaries. Some trends go too far.
As I always say, religion is the bane of modern society.
It has destroyed as many lives as it has helped spread the gospel. Much good, more bad.
Calling off your marriage because you can’t agree on whose church to attend is one of the many absurdities of religion.
In hindsight, religion itself may not even be the real issue. Humans are.
Humans created religion as a way to communicate with a higher power. But they also weaponized it.
Some of the worst crimes in history have been committed in its name.
Jihads. Crusades. Religious persecution. You name it. It became a launchpad for global destruction.
When people believe they are acting on behalf of God, they often feel justified doing things they would never otherwise do.
And the worst person you can marry is a religious person. Get yourself a godly person to be with.
