Our Master of Arts in Digital Journalism graduate students from Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe attended a week-long in-person learning programme at our Nairobi campus. They participated in lectures, discussions, team-building events, and were introduced to research, proposal writing, and academic writing. The sessions aimed to impart professional and survival skills through a blend of practice, critical thinking, and theory.

We have just concluded a Gender Desk Workshop that brought together participants from Kenyan media, civil society organizations, government and academia to learn from experiences and experts on gender inclusive and sensitive reporting and news-making.
The workshop was part of the Advancing Gender Equality in Media and Civil Society Organizations Project, which aims to enhance their ability to identify and respond to gender and social barriers to equality through capacity building, mentorship, and leveraging research and advocacy across #Kenya, #Uganda, and #Tanzania.
