Like “Carbon credits” for polluting industries, CM Revanth Reddy pitches for “People credits” for AI companies

At the Harvard Kennedy School AI Symposium, Telangana CM said “ My city depends on the success of a large number of white-collar jobs. If AI starts replacing these jobs, we will have to face a crisis.

• I am also going on a war-foot in scaling up of industries like global tourism, sustainability, green energy, electric vehicles, and infrastructure to create blue-collar jobs that AI cannot replace.

• We will also try to create policies similar to pollution, where polluting industries have to pay for carbon credits.

• We will try to make laws so AI firms can be taxed for people credits.

• It is only fair that companies with trillions of dollars in valuation compensate people and society whose jobs are lost”
