@paleonormie@crazybirdredux I assume this is a right-wing plot to make people enraged with the "save the planet" crowd. ๐
Same thing as with that infamous button that shuts down your engine at every stop light. It's like deliberately designed to make people angry.
@pmtiegs The last time I visited Germany, I saw two BMWs following each other on the Autobahn, one with Texas plates and the other with Tennessee plates, if I remember correctly. It looked like someone decided to give the cars a vacation back home :)
@adamcurry@2thefelt I did hear rumors that the Callback will indeed be only able to run Android apps but no native Sailfish apps which would be a deal breaker for me. I want to stay away from Android as far as possible.
@BenAntRaho Except for extremists, people live very similar lives. Most Europeans I know own at least one car, and you would not catch them dead on a bus. Most Americans I know have functioning health insurance. There are forces out there that want us to hate each other for their own reasons
@haydenmalc@_glorianas The majority of my friends in the EU own multiple cars per household and never use public transit.
Pretending like every place in Europe was a car-free communist utopia is just some stupid propaganda.
@blokefromthebn1@DocEmUK@British_Airways It's likely what happened here. Distributing water bottles to 100s of passengers takes some time and they're likely required to depart on a moment's notice and think they can't risk to do it at that time.
@BiigBvngz Why do people consider this "generational wealth"? That's not even $100k p.a. - you can survive on that little but you definitely won't feel rich in a 1st world country.
@helliottxxx@fitzfromdublin Do these people not just experience thirst? I drink when I'm thirsty and stop when I'm not thirsty any more. That automatically accounts for hot and cold climates. What a novel idea? ๐
@inqtelx@visegrad24 FPV drones actually existed back then. The US used them effectively against Japanese ships but by that time the USAAF was able to blow up Japan in a way more cost effective manner than a few expensive drones could.
@gurminderg26@visegrad24 No, they think that by hitting oil refineries the Russian war machine will be less effective. The Allies did the same to Germany in WWII.
@unbiasedpresss@visegrad24 I see people writing these stupid takes but if the Russians were able to kill more Ukrainians they would have done that already.๐คฃ
@FoxRunTime@JollaHQ Is this about that guy on youtube that bought a used, defective phone and then wanted a company support a 10 year old product years after it's EOL?
@VAScitadel@BohuslavskaKate Once Russia is stopped a sizeable portion of the migration problem may disappear. They have been pushing them in through Belarus for years to destabilize Europe and the UK.
