Hey lovelies, my name is Kophen.
I started curating playlists 18 months ago. I curate playlists to introduce y’all to artists (mostly the not so mainstream ones) and to new music.
Welcome to my musical world and enjoy the experience! 🤗🤗🤗

…or buying their merch and tickets to their shows! (Adding this because one of you actually said this to me.)
Also for managers, understand that artists don’t owe us anything beyond what we’ve mutually agreed upon. It’s a professional relationship, not entitlement.
That last part!
If we made business decisions based on conversations and opinions on here people wouldn’t make money at all… Lol!
Again, watu wako kazi!
In my small small years in this industry, I've learned music is a business first. At the end of the day, msanii atafanya what works and gets the bills + their team paid.
Plus anyway, hakuna msanii huingia studio akifikiria “leo lazima nifurahishe Sharon” 😂😂
Music is subjective; business is not!
If a model has proven to work and continues to deliver results, I see no reason to deviate from it without a compelling justification. There is no value in changing a working formula simply for the sake of change.
Watu wako kazi lol!
I’m glad to see these conversations taking place.
It’s valuable to hear the different perspectives and opinions being shared, and I appreciate the diversity of thought represented here tbh!
