Home growing your own talented players is a proven strategy to win a Super Bowl.
Going all in is also a proven strategy to win a Super Bowl.
Acting like there’s a right and wrong way between the two is silly. Both work. Both come with significant risks.
No longterm project reaches this year from Brad Holmes. Even down to the 6th rounder Skyler Gill-Howard who IMO at least has a real shot to get a handful of snaps per game.
You can not like the WR. But he very likely is a kick returner/gunner/WR5 immediately.
Only one I’m skeptical on in terms of an immediate role is Rolder, but he at least is a guy that could be incredible on special teams immediately. Maybe he gets onto the field more on defense than I think, but he does pretty reasonably project to be a guy that could start as soon as 2027.
D2 to Mac to Big 12…. This is why the transfer portal is important.
D2 stud, MAC stud… goes to Texas tech and is balling- gets injured sadly. Glad he got his shot!
My day 2 thoughts:
DE/LB/Safety
Any combo of the 3 and I’ll be happy.
Names I love:
DE
Zion Young- unlikely
Gabe Jacas-likely
Derrick Moore- love and likely
LB
Jake Golday
Josiah Trotter
Safety
VJ Payne

Credit where credit is due. Holmes went all in to re-invent the offensive line this offseason. Bullish this unit will be significantly improved.
@MarcRyanOnAir Fun fact you know nobody from Clemson, that’s why you never heard anyone speak of him.
College productivity for years garners nfl success in Brads eyes. Turn in the film. Kid can start today and his body isn’t really even built out @ 22YO.
@IAgulannaLFC@the_det_times I would disagree. Brad has always targeted highly productive college players. Lots of starts, lots of production, lots of film to be seen. Take care of your body and the impact isn’t as aggressive as you think. Specifically at tackle.
@NatSparbeck He’s a big productivity over a college career guy. Lots of starts, lots of production. You see it with most of his first picks. Penei, Hutch, Jamo, Jack, Tyleik…3-4 year starters in college.
@RiggsBarstool He doesn’t look impaired tbh. Also, not a physics guy…. But you don’t have to be going that fast to flip a trailer and flip a car. It’s like hitting the side of a ramp.
