@ChrisLynnHedges "We will have mocked the ubiquitous university programs of Holocaust studies, designed, it turns out, not to equip us to end genocides, but deify Israel as an eternal victim licensed to carry out mass slaughter. The mantra of never again is a joke."
@RedPencilScript@Aetna This is absolutely awful. Noone should be denied medical care or have to go into debt to receive it, especially a child. How do the insurance agencies defend this practice??? Ugh.
🚨Urgent: We have been informed by the International Committee of the Red Cross that PRCS medic Assad Al-Nsasrah is being held by the Israeli occupation authorities. His fate had remained unknown since he was targeted along with other PRCS medics in #Rafah.
📢We call on the international community to pressure the occupation authorities to immediately release our colleague, medic Asaad, who was forcibly abducted while carrying out his humanitarian duties. He and his colleagues came under heavy gunfire, which led to the killing of eight of them — a grave violation of international humanitarian law. #NotATarget #IHL #Gaza
If Ukraine 🇺🇦 really did attack Twitter, I think the only logical thing is for @elonmusk to sign a cease fire immediately, give them half of Twitter and make sure he says thank you to @POTUS.
Just got a notice from our insurance company, Oscar Health, that the life saving medication our 9-year-old daughter needs to live has been rejected because they decided—CONTRARY TO HER DOCTOR—that her medication is "Not Medically Necessary."
Her meds costs ~$200K+ a year. The insurance industry raked in $88 BILLION in profits last year.
I am disgusted & beyond outraged. Posting full details soon on this injustice & how my wife Ayesha and I are fighting back: https://t.co/E9vsj25tKE
@Sarli45_ And for me, aleve and lots of infused lotion helps on those really tough nights. I take it on top of my regular night time meds. And heat. And a massager to break apart the stiffness. Tears and a hot shower can help, too.
@Sarli45_ Unfortunately, you get used to a certain level of pain. It's why a lot of chronic pain people use a modified pain scale. Your normal pain becomes the baseline. As for sleep- talk to your Dr about pain management options that won't keep you groggy the next day. They exist ♡♡
I have Americans in my DMs threatening to call ICE on me and have me deported…I don’t know whats funnier…the fact that Im a Canadian with a UK dual citizenship or that I’m living in Spain and far from their jurisdiction
Thousands of forcibly displaced Palestinians are stranded near the Netzarim area, which connects northern Gaza to its south, as the Israeli occupation continues to prevent their return to their homes
The Israeli military is firing on any civilians attempting to approach the area
I was sobbing in a recovery meeting bc even though I’ve given up drinking it feels like I have a million other addictions—from shopping to sugar. I just don’t feel emotionally sober.
an old-timer responded: “just tackle them in the order they’ll kill you, honey—a day at a time.”
@LawyerLeeW To me? The umbrella issue? 44 murders a day (say the stats) is the average. Hence, maybe 43 other citizens were murdered that day...AND 44 the next....& then x-number the day after that.
I'm guessing you see where I was going with that?
How many people care about all of those?😳
While we are on a (rational) policy vibe, let's quickly go through from a liberal perspective why the GST holiday was a really half baked and shitty idea before I disappear into Witcher land for the rest of the morning
