Welcome to the Lab of Dr. Brian Korgel on Twitter! Dr. Korgel is a professor of Chem. Eng. at the University of Texas. Note: Dr Korgel does not run this account
Our undergrad student Anastacia De Gorostiza presented her research at the Future Leaders of Chemical Engineering Symposium at NC State. This symposium recognizes the top undergraduate researchers in chemical engineering in the United States. Congrats Stacy!
Congratulations to our undergrad Anastacia De Gorostiza for winning the AIChE Regional Poster Competition for her work entitled "Understanding the Nucleation & Growth of CsPbI3 Nanocrystals"!
Some interesting graphs I generated with @brian_korgel this week using solar irradiance data from NREL. This first graph shows the median irradiation at any given time for each month from 2017 to 2022, as well as a 95% confidence interval.

Totally forgot to mention that this was done in collaboration with the amazing Korgel group (@brian_korgel@KorgelTweets) who synthesized the nanocrystals!
Congrats to Yangning Zhang and all for the perspective: 'A “Tips and Tricks” Practical Guide to the Synthesis of Metal Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals'! It was one of the most downloaded papers published in Chemistry of Materials in 2020! Great work!!!

Thanks so much to @nanoGe_Conf for this award, and @Q_Akkerman for hosting such an excellent conference!!
Look forward to attending many more of these in the future.
Recent graduate, @Tim_D_Siegler's, paper titled: Synthesis of TlBr and Tl2AgBr3 Nanocrystal in Chemistry of Nanomaterials for Energy (ChemNanoMat) has been summarized in Chinese and published online! Check out this awesome work!
