Only a fraction of mRNA reaches its target. What if improving mRNA medicines came down to the solution they’re stored in?

Texas Engineers found that the storage buffers used for mRNA lipid nanoparticles can affect more than just shelf life. https://t.co/CyPSZNTkjW

Such a stunning series of investments and philanthropic gifts that enable world class engineering teaching and research.

[Neeraja Yadwadkar @NeerajaJY]

A very special milestone: last Friday, @DanJacobellis successfully defended his dissertation, Machine-Oriented Compression—becoming my first solo-advised Ph.D. student to reach this milestone. (1/n)

It was great to have you back on the Forty Acres to inspire our Texas Engineers 🤘

[C. Susan Howes @CSusanHowes]

I returned to the The University of Texas at Austin last week to speak with students in the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering (PGE), at the invitation of Paphasorn (Pair) Chotjinda, President of UT Women in Petroleum & Geosystems Engineering. #hookem

[Michael Pyrcz🌻 @GeostatsGuy]

Just gave a talk to industry and government leaders, along with students in Uganda, Africa, titled:

“AI Strategy for Energy and Mineral Development”

My appreciation to Lana Surface,
U.S. Foreign Service Officer (@StateDept), for the invitation.

There were so many excellent questions and thoughtful conversations. In my parting remarks, I shared a little about my commitment to open, shared educational content and making knowledge accessible to anyone who wants to learn.

I lived in East Africa before I started university, and in so many ways, the experience found its way into my heart.

Ni mahali pazuri na watu wazuri sana! 🇺🇬❤️

.@UTAustin researchers have been working on technology that would allow some artificial intelligence to use less energy in a collaboration with the world’s largest semiconductor foundry, according to an Aug. 28 news release from @CockrellSchool. Researchers released a paper in August explaining the three-year-long exploration of the use of spin-orbit torque magnetic random access memory, which does not require data centers to run.

[Michael E. Webber @MichaelEWebber]

Y'all, this is such an honor and I'm so humbled to be selected for the Harold W. McGraw Jr. Prize in Education for lifelong learning. Few entities take the time to honor educators, so this feels very special.

It's nice recognition for the various educational initiatives we have launched -- TV shows, online platforms, public events, interactive curricula, books, speeches, screenings, and essays -- aimed at learners outside the classroom.

It wouldn't be possible without our partners @HEB @txcomptroller @ItronInc @SloanFoundation @RockefellerFdn @WellsFargo @JGarcia3rd @alpheusmedia @MitchFound

And it is hard to imagine being able to elevate energy education with global reach at any other university than @UTAustin and @CockrellSchool @TheLBJSchool

[Texas Engineering @CockrellSchool]

Horns up for Texas Engineer @MichaelEWebber🤘

Webber has been named a recipient of the Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education for his work expanding access to education and helping people understand the energy systems that power our lives.

Perfectly timed advice for Texas Engineers 🤘

[Michael Pyrcz🌻 @GeostatsGuy]

Time for @CockrellSchool Engineering Expo, an important time for our #longhorns looking for internships and full-time jobs after graduation.

While in industry, I spent some time as the hiring manager for a large research department. Based on what I learned in that role, I share some interview advice with my students.

[Dell Medical School @DellMedSchool]

Dell Med students don't just study medicine. They shape its future with innovations like Drain+, developed by MS-4 Jordan Tanyi and an interdisciplinary team including @CockrellSchool students. The device is designed prevent clogs in surgical drains. https://t.co/aoHhhthfgr

[Good Systems @UTGoodSystems]

How can AI serve people and society? As Good Systems enters the final year of the research grand challenge, Ken Fleischmann and incoming chair Chandra Bhat reflect on what has been built and what comes next.

Could better memory make AI more energy-efficient?

Texas Engineers teamed up with TSMC to test SOT-MRAM, an emerging technology that can retain data without power and switch information in just 2 nanoseconds.

What does an engineering education make possible?

For Autry C. Stephens, it was the foundation for a career that helped transform the Permian Basin into a global energy hub & a legacy that continues to open doors for future generations of Texas Engineers: https://t.co/pO9fSZmLXy

[Texas Engineering @CockrellSchool]

What starts with one generation can become a legacy 🤘

From their father’s influence to 12 Longhorns and counting, the family’s curiosity and love of engineering have spanned generations.

Now, they’re paying it forward to future Texas Engineers.
