@jellymoths Can't cool below ambient without chillers, when it's hot the only thing you can do to *feel* cooler is increase your body heat shed rate via airflow and evaporation. When it's *above* body temperature, though? Well.. you only get hotter, so cool drinks and ice packs unfortunately
@ManaTJohnson A lot of the time, the friendship was founded improperly. Other times, and more commonly, the emotional trappings are stumbled into by a person that does not have a healthy communication channel and lacks real connections in most of their life so they inflate the few they do form
@TaylorrObvi While capitalism refusing to begin the transition is almost intentionally accelerating desertification of the land we occupy. Not only are people not allowed a sense of security in their lives, the world itself is not allowed to host life outside of controlled corporate holdings.
@fxmaki_ae@umamusume_eng So it works as a supplementary option, and helps the busier/casual players a lot. A typical career run can be cleared in 20-30 minutes and my fastest was 12 minutes on a "idc just finish it" bed time clear on Bakushin. 50 minutes for a passive idle run is nice.
@sairaspooks The streamer clearly has an addiction that is endangering both her and the public. They seriously need help and Twitch is instead just enabling them because they are popular and generate revenue. Until the liability outweighs the revenue, no changes ever.
@ManaTJohnson Unfortunate for those who hoped to attend, but SO thankful they didn't feel obligated to sacrifice their well-being in a world that regularly *expects* self-harm to avoid inconveniencing others.
@jellymoths I like boot covers for not having to hear my steps, idc about protecting the floors. Sounding like you on a basketball court just walking around.
@AtteraNox They need you to drink so they don't feel gross about themselves when they down drinks, but they don't know how to convey that. You being sober is a constant contrast for them, *and* they know the entire time that there's a sober person who will remember everything they do or say
@AtteraNox New parts donor acquired, shame about the replacement cost for the new unit needed on the floor but that's someone else's problem. Scavenged parts are always welcome!
@jellymoths A common idea thrown around in grade 5-7, I remember that annoying stretch, but they're supposed to learn it false at some point before adulthood. Unfortunately... they often do not (choose not to?)
@catnyaps Your mom didn't have a lot of resources, but she really filled her role SO much better than what many of us saw from our comparatively cozy existence. Genuinely seems to deserve all the love you have for her every time we hear more about who she chose to be every chance she got.
@eveilnss I generally rely on weighted lunges and leg press, only need dumbbells for the lunges (go slow and controlled, don't rush the motion) and I find I'm way less likely to F my knees vs squats which I decided just aren't for me. PT exercise I happened to hold onto.
@TaylorrObvi Growing up I learned that the homeless kids and junkies were the least likely to destroy a resource (likely to mark stuff up or overuse, but not intentionally damage) yet the comfy kids in nice houses LOVED disruption and breaking stuff for fun. Don't figure they grew out of it.
@ManaTJohnson@MVdlJCardinal "how dare you not have a fully homogeneous population!!!11!" -random internet troll actually scared of the world but pretending to be satire
