Subject: A Question Regarding Government Funding and Media Literacy Partnerships
Dear Prime Minister @MarkJCarney,
I am writing to seek clarity on the federal government's criteria for selecting and funding partner organizations for media literacy and countering disinformation initiatives.
My specific concern relates to the sole-sourcing or predominant allocation of funds to a single organization, such as B'nai Brith Canada, for this critical work. While I respect the important role many organizations play in civil society, a robust and inclusive approach to media literacy benefits from a diversity of perspectives.
Could you please outline the process that ensures a fair, transparent, and competitive selection procedure for these partnerships? Furthermore, how does the government ensure that funded organizations operate with a primary loyalty to Canadian democratic principles and the broad public interest, representing all communities in our multicultural society?
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,

Watch how Donald Trump and @PierrePoilievre use the exact same script of disdain, smirks, and deflection to dodge accountability and attack the press. When you can’t defend the facts, you attack the messeng
BREAKING:
Israel is dropping white phosphorus bombs on civilian areas in the village of Arnoun, Nabatieh, South Lebanon.
These are internationally banned munitions — and Israel is unleashing them against civilians.
UCP are cutting funding for 23 women’s shelters, incl. 12 in rural areas.
They’re happy to spend million to pander to separatists to try & cling to power, but women fleeing domestic violence are left with less access to help that could save their lives.
That’s the UCP. #ableg

No province or territory should have any process available to leave Canada.
Any and all avenues for any province or territory to separate must be removed.
The state of the world and the tools available to hostile foreign entities are far too dangerous and disruptive.
Change the laws that need changing to help keep Canada strong and protected.

This is what Kinew excels at - he is not afraid to confront people to their face when he knows they are not telling the truth. Danielle Smith should be clearly embarassed to be called out in such a public way. Don't think Wab is going to get a Christmas card from her this year.
