@Una I would say, how password manager implementation is up to each provider and not more of a stable API they can integrate with. It causes so many issues when you use your personal and a company one at the same time.
I won’t mince words: earlier today we failed our customers and the broader Internet when a problem in @Cloudflare network impacted large amounts of traffic that rely on us. The sites, businesses, and organizations that rely on Cloudflare depend on us being available and I apologize for the impact that we caused.
Transparency about what happened matters, and we plan to share a breakdown with more details in a few hours. In short, a latent bug in a service underpinning our bot mitigation capability started to crash after a routine configuration change we made. That cascaded into a broad degradation to our network and other services. This was not an attack.
That issue, impact it caused, and time to resolution is unacceptable. Work is already underway to make sure it does not happen again, but I know it caused real pain today. The trust our customers place in us is what we value the most and we are going to do what it takes to earn that back.
@Galaxxius @angular I mean even if material is a component lib, changing a color is not a breaking change as it’s not changing the API developers use. So it can be in minor and major version releases.
Hey @csswg where can one submit feature requests or upvote existing?
I love the container query feature but it drives me insane that I can’t mark one element as a container and then listen for size changes and update the same container selector. Would love to request this.
For instance, if a build an isolated component with grid layout, I want to change the template column and row layout for certain container widths, but this is not possible without having an extra wrapping element, causing deeper DOM trees.
@McClellandRuss@nickchapsas And that is great and all for you, but it does not mean that it should be seen as the way to do thing. It’s much closer to becoming a slippery slope than if you try to put things into isolation.
Cognitive overload becomes an IDE and now also an AI problem.
@MiladVafaeifard @angular@AkumaCelest Click handlers which receive a false value as return value will automatically call the PreventDefault() API and there are others which also have defaults behaviour for false return values. This solves that by forcing void return
@benhylak It looks very clean and nice, but the accessibility is not there. In EU you are even required to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and I’m not sure this really does that.
@_nghiatran@getpostman Can say that this makes it bloated, nor really mind blowing. I mean some are just feature flag and error logging/statistics platforms, pretty common.
I mean visit any webpage and inspect the network traffic over there
@iamdoyinadeyemo Just recently switched from Win to Mac due to work but I’ve been developing on windows for 10 years no problem. If you develop on Win with the mindset of Mac you are just going to fail. Can’t really say that Mac/Linux gives you anything new or better, it’s just different
@sama A competitor to Googles NotebookLM feature where they generate a podcast between two made up characters for you to listen to a topic would be amazing.
Other than that, just continue with even better structured outputs, they are key to solid integrations
