So you think He wants His apostles to become that type of entity that you described there? Because He prayed that His apostles could become one like he and the Father are One.
I appreciate your kind demeanor, but that explanation doesn’t make sense with what He prayed to His father.
@Fair_and_Biased Show me where in the Bible it says you’re not a Christian if you believe Christ and Satan are spiritual brothers?
Sounds like someone is adding to the Bible😏
What did Christ teach about being one? This is a common principle taught by Christ and in the Bible:
John 17:11
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Did he mean to ask the Father that all his apostles become amalgamated into a single being/entity?
Matthew 19:5
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
This is categorically, false, however, your statement is much more similar to a Saducee/Pharisees attitude than Christian.
You are twisting scriptures to portray people as something totally different than they are.
Be careful who you call heretics and radicals for they have done the same with the followers of Christ throughout his history.
@Manhattva@jkdavis89@BowTiedRanger Who was Christ praying to in the Garden? To Whom was he speaking when He said “not my will but thine will be done”?
By their standard, it appears that Christ wasn’t even Christian.

Great question and that’s something I just don’t have an answer for. I have some ideas and I know there was polygamy in the Old Testament, but I don’t know why God would have Joseph Smith and early church members practice polygamy. So the only answer I have is that God told him to. I don’t know why.
However, I do know that the Book of Mormon is true and that I know Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church.
I’ve just accepted the fact that there are things I don’t understand and I just have to rely on the things I do know to be true. And I know the Book of Mormon to be true. It and his restored gospel have been a wonderful blessing in my life.
And the Pharisees would’ve had us stoned, Nero would’ve fed us to lions and the Soviets would have locked us into prison or worse.
I have a friend from Russia and her parents had to do Bible study in secret and run to the river in dark of night to get baptized and if they were caught they risked execution; but they didn’t care. Their discipleship of Christ mattered more than their lives.
@RandomLDS By the Trinity definition of a Christian, Christ is not Christian because he prayed to His Father.
Why would he do that? He obviously is denying the Trinity by doing so and therefore not a Christian per the Nicean Creed.
Seems like your only consistent opinion is criticizing the Book of Mormon; even if two criticisms are totally contradicting.
Your first post you talk about how it is unimpressive that the Book of Mormon talked about baptism before Christ.
I share a post with you about someone criticizing the Book of Mormon because it talks about baptism before Christ.
Your reply is you totally agree with him.
@BereanHouse@justin_hart There are a lot of mainstream Christians that disagree with you and criticize the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ for this. https://t.co/plI0ZiATEA
The Book of Mormon was an obvious nineteenth century hoax meant to deceive the ignorant and gullible members of our society. Of the many internal evidences of this, the implementation of baptisms long before John the Baptist was born is one of the most laughable anachronisms.
In the Old Testament, there were no such mentions of anything like this happening, neither was it ever prophesied of. This was a new sign the Lord was implementing through John, to prepare the way of salvation for God's people. Even the religious leaders of the day came out to the wilderness and were shocked to discover the masses of people that were following this new ordinance. The old way of animal sacrifices was being done away with, because the Lamb of God was about to make a once and for all sacrifice for sin at Calvary.
The Baptist title for John is special. Biblically speaking nobody had ever heard or seen of such a thing in Israel before this. But, in the Book of Nonsense that Joseph Smith concocted in 1830, they're baptising people in the name of Christ long before John was born. Even the church was established before Jesus walked on this earth. And many New Testament teachings are also addressed way before Paul or the other apostles ever reveal the Good News and the mystery of Godliness.
Wake up sleeping LDS members, you have been deceived and are following false prophets and antichrist apostles who are leading you astray. Ditch the fictional stories in the Book of Mormon and please return to the Father's house before it's too late.
