Namita Gupta was an IIT Delhi graduate.

Came back to India.

Checked air quality data.
None existed for her neighbourhood.
She bought sensors. Built her own monitor.
Started measuring air quality herself.

Posted the readings on social media every day.
Residents started following her updates.
She asked them to not burst firecrackers during Diwali.
They actually listened.
In 2016 she built Airveda.
An affordable air quality monitor for every household.
Ships to Dubai, Finland, Denmark, Vietnam.

She left Facebook and Microsoft.
To measure the air her kids breathe.
That was enough reason.
