They want to call it communist because they don’t want you to know that Germany, Italy, the UK, Canada—everybody else—has it better than us, and we spend the most money for the worst care in the developed world.

Around 6:15 AM this morning, an extremely dangerous storm slammed into the Highmore, SD area.

The storm was so intense that radar indicated wind speeds exceeding 110 mph, and we're hearing reports of a nearby weather station recording a wind gust of 130+ mph as it raced northeast. If confirmed, those winds are comparable to a Category 4 hurricane.

We're continuing to receive reports of significant damage in and around Highmore. If you're in the area and it's safe to do so, please share photos or damage reports in the comments. Our thoughts are with everyone affected. 💙

This heart surgeon put a mechanical heart valve upside down, in a little 13-year-old girl. She was put into ICU when she wasn’t recovering. Eventually after 18 days the staff told the parents that she wasn’t going to survive and they wanted to discuss donating her organs. Luckily, the parents had the presence of mind to seek another opinion so they took her to Seattle Children’s Hospital, where the surgeons found the upside down valve immediately.
Always always always get a second and sometimes even a third opinion and be very careful about donating organs .

Weird shit going on. BREAKING: A mysterious sonic boom was reported across parts of Idaho this afternoon, with residents from Boise and Nampa to Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, and Coeur d’Alene describing a powerful blast that rattled windows and shook homes across the state.
One Idaho resident said they walked downstairs moments after hearing the boom and discovered their sliding glass doors completely shattered.
“I heard a loud explosion and the whole house started shaking. I honestly thought it was an earthquake.”
Authorities have not yet confirmed the source of the boom, and reports continue pouring in from communities across Idaho. Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts as officials investigate what caused the disturbance. 🌲🏔️
