@NathanSproul@tb_lenano@JonahDispatch@roddreher ah, yes...the ole 'let's commit felonious voter fraud to stop a campaign from exposing the craziness of LA that's already displayed on social media everyday' trick! You got 'em Velma!!
In a two-way race in 2024, Donald Trump got 26.5% of the vote in City of Los Angeles. In a three-way race in 2026, Spencer Pratt has 26.7% of the vote. I'm not sure what the mystery is that demands a conspiratorial explanation.
So many people are screaming that Pratt got zero votes in a ballot drop when in reality he actually got 21,870 in that drop.
They are just reposting the same inaccurate info from NBC News site (left). Receipts from official county registrar’s site on right.
Just think about it. You would need 58 different registrar/clerk offices to buy in. Including really RED counties like Shasta...which isn't exactly speeding along with its count. https://t.co/kNZrvI1aup
These replies only show the effectiveness of the Big Lie...God bless Doug for clapping back to so many of these ppl. If fraud was as widespread as these ppl believe, surely there would be smoking guns everywhere (there are not).
The same people screaming about how long it takes California to count votes are also claiming voter fraud and demanding better election integrity.
That’s exactly *why* CA takes the time to check all those signatures and make sure ballots are legitimate before counting them.
@TPCarney It's also a braindead take to say the most common objection was "reflectiveness." It seemed most people were concerned with the cost, no-bid contract, lack of oversight. So, maybe, a different kind of reflection.
New: The Stafford County Board of Supervisors approved plans for a massive Buc-ee’s travel center with a 5-2 vote. Several locals raised concerns about traffic, congestion and impacts to neighborhoods.
Great land use for a soulless ballpark. It's a nice easy place to get to and from...and then once you're inside, it feels like the output of an AI prompt for "generic American sports venue," which kinda matches the vibes of the neighborhood.
These are the Twitter/X accounts with the most engagement so far in 2026. I suppose I had some intuition for how bad it was, but jeez, this is what you get when the ecosystem is broken.
@ToddMac81260111@RyanDyrudLAFB@RyanKartje@MaxPreps Clever and original. Probably not best to use the “university controversy” card when defending a university that’s been at the center of repeated scandals…it’s a bit like a Trump backer calling out Bill Clinton for knowing Jeffrey Epstein.
