We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
Inexperienced?
He:
* Spent 8 years in the Texas House
* Was lead sponsor on 16 bills that became law
* On 3 committees
* Vice chair of two of them.
Crockett has:
* 2 years in Texas House
* 3 in Congress
* Led 3 bills to law in Texas
* 0 successful bills in Congress
* 0 committees in Texas House
* 3 committees in Congress, 1 as ranking member, 1 as vice ranking member
Their experience is at best comparable, but in terms of legislature experience Talarico has more years, and a better track record of getting bills passed.
So this is a really weird argument to make - both are more than experienced enough for this run.
Only one candidate is showing the campaign effort and temperament though.
Can’t wait to tell my kids the following is bullshit:
- One game at a time
- Find a way, no matter what.
- Go 1-0 each week.
- Be resilient.
- Next man up.
- Hard work gets rewarded.
- It takes all 11.
- Trust the process.
- Work to be the best version of yourself.
I have deliberately not been on this site but this is a good day to jump in and say: 1. This is an absolute travesty. 2. The committee should be ashamed for taking this away from 90+ players and coaches who EARNED IT. FSU got treated like a Mountain West school. Let that sink in.
Not counting goofy COVID season (Ohio State played five games), there have only been two instances in CFP history where an undefeated Power 5 team had one-loss teams ranked ahead of it.
2014.
2023.
Both Florida State.
How many of the Top 4 teams would have been able to do the same? Alabama gets a pass for looking like trash vs USF with a backup QB but not Florida State? Important to also note Glenn would NOT be the starter in the playoff (why do I even have to remind people?) Not one person on
I am spitting nails and have nowhere to spit them, and while I want nothing to do with this site, I have a lot to say. Florida State rose from the depths of hell - as one player said yesterday - to go 13-0 and win an ACC title with an 18-year-old QB who missed half the season.
If you're wondering why Liberty got in because they "kept winning their games" and Florida State got left out after winning its games, I got nothing for ya.
Boo Corrigan explaining why Liberty over SMU, first mentions that Liberty played no P5 teams ... then brings up SMU's losses to Oklahoma and TCU.
So ... don't play those guys?
Maybe the most jarring revelation of the last week was @KirkHerbstreit during his anti-FSU campaign claiming “I don’t care about doing the right thing” on PMT and admitting he wants close games not the most deserving teams in the playoffs.
Don’t remember this argument being made in 2014 when 1-loss Ohio St. made the playoff after losing their 1st string quarterback preseason and their 2nd string QB in the B1G title game 🤔
The Committee has officially greenlit intentionally trying to injure opposing players as a valid strategy. Unlikely result in a penalty worse than sitting out half the next game, and might yield a playoff bid.
