@DHSCgovuk I’m retired GP but when working I would always consider the worst diagnoses for the symptoms presented and ask relevant questions & and examination to exclude this before deciding it was a simple illness.

@dave_dlt @HelenHeat0n Vividly remember my trainer in the 80’s informing patient that he didn’t need a sick note - the patient became very aggressive and agitated it was scary ,imagine it would be so much worse today

@DrNeenaJha Grandson age one saw pharmacist with fever - told ears pink and given broad spectrum antibiotics- chest not listened to - temperature not taken - no examination for a rash or anything else - it was a very dangerous diagnosis of ear infection

I’m afraid you’ve been misled by your civil servants & advisers @wesstreeting - the @BMA_GP team have not agreed safeguards & this is not safe. GPs will be overwhelmed & critical patients asks missed. As for the hair appt analogy I’m afraid every GP in the country just laughed

@doctor_oxford And what about waiting room care -i was in A and E overnight I saw oramorph given in waiting room, grand mal seizure,very unwell people sitting upright all night,some lying on the floor, for 8 hours no observations …. Cruel dangerous
