If you are betting on Gold and Silver now, read this.

1) No one can predict gold/silver prices.

2) Gold/Silver/commodities are typically risk-off assets. When a bubble pops somewhere, money moves to gold/silver/commodities.

3) Why? because by nature commodities are fairly stable. They don't have a PE (or multiple expansion) baked into their valuations. So when people move out of equities, they go to gold/silver as a hedge.

This makes sense.

4) In the current cycle: Gold/Silver has gone up ahead of equities.

5) This can mean two things (a) Equity markets have peaked. And, smart investors are already positioned into Gold/Silver. This is the usual path.

6) But, no one is talking about option (b) i.e Equity Markets have not peaked. But, Gold/Silver might have peaked.

No one is even entertaining this possibility.
Think about it:-

7) Last year AI was all about fear-mongering: "AI will take your jobs away"

Firms like Meta, Amazon, Msft are still at a significant margin from peak.

The only visible bubble in AI right now is: AI firms are spending too much, too fast.

But, what if the spent is net productive. The AI earnings catch up. What happens then?

8) Well, we will see deflation. More goods being produced at a fraction of the current cost.

Who benefits? The firms contributing to this deflation.
Those create real wealth.

Lowers this risk, improves the trade. Classic conditions for Gold/Silver to crash.

9) The world after a long-time (at least 3 decades) has seen an actual use case of a mega technology.

Look at data, this is the first time in at least 2 decades at least that hyper-scalers (Google, Amazon, Meta etc) have found a worthy opportunity to spend money on.

10) Don't bet against the FED, Government and Tech companies.

In long-term this always proves to be a losing trade.
Pick any period, back-test it.
