@alexisohanian Encouraging a child to come up with their own ideas, games, play also builds their self confidence that they can solve their own problems, etc. It reinforces that they don’t have to rely on external support to explore, be curious, play.

@alexisohanian Creativity comes when our mind feels still, we can take in our surroundings- be in the moment. When my kids are bored, they start asking me what to do, I can suggest lots of things, but my new thing is to refrain and leave them. 30 min later they are deep in imaginative play ❤️

@alexisohanian Mad Hatters Tea at the Sanderson hotel was perfect for my kiddos a few years ago. We watched Alice and Wonderland and then went to tea that afternoon. Alas, they are closed because of COVID, but I am guessing they could still make it happen for your family.
