@MarshaBlackburn@WhiteHouse@elonmusk Please do not close the Social Security offices. The one is Nashville is relied upon by so many seniors. We have an appointment there next month with my MIL. Closing it is going to mean those seniors and folks who need assistance won’t be able to get it.
Do you LOVE the South and share our vision for a more abundant, equitable future? Join our team! We are extending the application deadline for our associate network officer position to August 30.
This should be raising big alarm bells in Nashville. Our older teens should be able to get support for their physical and mental health without parental consent.
This new law won't even allow young people to seek counseling without parental consent. I hope Metro officials review how to protect Nashville youth. #MetroCouncilNash@freddieoconnell@angienashville@Erinfor12

Oklahoma abandoned kids in need this summer. Tribes didn’t. @CherokeeNation and other tribes are covering ALL low income kids within those reservations you hear so much about. #SummerEBT https://t.co/UMpHUGDQti
BREAKING: The Right to Contraception Act was just blocked in the Senate. This is an outrage — especially at a time when extremists are threatening access to birth control, blocking access to IVF, and criminalizing abortion. This goes against the will of the people.
@ashfordhughes I read through some of the tweets and was really thinking it was a parody account. The fact that it’s so tough to tell the difference is troubling.
@hannah_pechan@freddieoconnell Happy Birthday Hannah! My team at work was a huge support when my Dad was sick and ultimately passed. I will be forever grateful.
🚨VOUCHER ALERT🚨
A lot of eyeballs in Tennessee legislature are on HB390/SB191 - which could become a vehicle for school vouchers, skipping Finance Committee. The budget bill, on the House floor at 4 pm, has funding for vouchers. A GOP leader assured me recently that the bill would NOT be used for vouchers, but things can change. Next step will be watching House Calendar and Rules, which meets sometime today. HB390 needs a vote there to move to the House floor. https://t.co/SoFEcJQQGG

@VandyPoliSci Prof @trounstine quoted in recent @nytimes article on politics of affordable housing: Developers Got Backing for Affordable Housing. Then the Neighborhood Found Out. https://t.co/SZKaI34u42
@quinevanssegall Thank you Quin. I just saw the results of the Imagine Nashville survey of 10,000 residents, most of whom said they wanted more diversity of housing and more affordable housing options. I am glad you are doing something to get this conversation started!
@GilbGonzales You are the best! Question, did they know Alanis’ music before this, or did you open their eyes and ears to this definitive, empowering 90s rock album?
I am so proud of you @GilbGonzales! You care so deeply for your students and you make a deep impact in their lives and our community. Your THT team ❤️s you!
😲Stunned in class today when Vandy Chancellor and Provost surprised me with the Chancellor’s Cup “for the greatest contribution outside the classroom to undergraduate student-faculty relationships.”
I’m so proud of my students and the amazing things they have accomplished! 🥳
