@LTHEchat A6 - I think we just need to be adaptable. Change is inevitable and to think it isn't going to happen in education is foolish. We need to provide assistance, help, and compassion whenever possible. #LTHEchat
@LTHEchat A4 – Lack of communication and poor planning of the proposed changes. Eventually, better communication and a reorganized planning team helped to resolve some issues. #LTHEchat
@LTHEchat A2 – Supportive coworkers and successive integration of technology help to enable success. A lack of communication and clear explanations are barriers. #LTHEchat
@AdamPizzi A4: We have Schoology at my school and I'm going to try using that as an opportunity to have students connecting more. I can create discussions and have them take practice tests on there. I am hoping to save much needed class time for more relevant issues this way #edim500
@GartheKatrina@AdamPizzi Wow, that is so unfortunate to not have a Smart Board. (Be sure to add that to your Future-Ready Classroom design due next week!!) It just makes presenting the material and displaying things so much easier. Honestly, I couldn't imagine teaching anymore without one #edim500
@Shaughn_Bittner@AdamPizzi I agree. It is such a struggle to try new things (spending countless hours) just for kids to kind of shrug it off and not care. There's so much to do in a day and it is discouraging to think it would just be such a waste of time that could have been allocated elsewhere. #edim500
@AdamPizzi A3. Having enough classtime is a struggle. 43 minutes fly right by. Especially teaching an AP course, I feel like I'm always pressed to get through just the content so kids are prepared for the test. I wish I had more time to try to make connections beyond the classroom. #edim500
@AdamPizzi A2: When I was studying undergrad math, we went to a cemetery (I know, this seems morbid, but it was fun!) and "pick" a grave marker. Then we had to recreate its shape on the computers back at the lab. It was so creative! I loved it! #edim500
@GartheKatrina@AdamPizzi Yes! I went to the PA Renaissance Faire when I was in middle school and I loved being immersed in the time period that I was learning about in school. #edim500
